Greetings in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ! Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church of Staunton, where we would love to welcome you into our community of faith.  Here you will find a wonderful eclectic group of people who love each other, love their church, and love their community, all because of God’s love for us.

As Pastor Jeff reminds us each Sunday, First Presbyterian Church aspires to be a welcoming Christian community of faith for all people, regardless of age, race, identity, orientation, political affiliation, or which sports team you cheer for, where each of us is united with one another in Christ Jesus. You are welcome here!

Worship is at 11:00am on Sundays, and we also broadcast to our Facebook page, First Presbyterian Church Staunton, via a live feed that is also recorded so that people can view later. Worship tends to be classical in nature (piano and organ, singing from hymnals, responsive liturgy, etc.), but also approachable and comfortable enough for anyone to come away having a positive experience of the Spirit. We normally serve Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and all are welcome to the table.

There are a whole host of mission opportunities to get involved with – you can make a difference in the world by joining your gifts with ours as part of a team dedicated to serving the least of these in our area, in our state, in our nation, and abroad. In particular, be sure to ask about the Trinity Lunch program, as well as our Home Goods pantry, both programs serving the immediate Staunton and Augusta community.

Interested in growing in your faith and spiritual identity? Join us for Bible conversations on Tuesdays at 10:00am each week, a monthly Presbyterian Women’s gathering, or stick around after worship on Sundays where there are opportunities for spiritual formation with classes and presentations throughout the year.

Are you musically inclined? Be sure to connect with our musical ensembles, including choral singing and bells. Contact our Minister of Music, Dr. Renee Huff, for more information.

You may also enjoy our partnerships with our community neighbors such as SACRA, Heifetz Institute, Staunton Music Festival, American Shakespeare Center, Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra, Oak Grove Theater, WARM, and the Oratory.

We are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), and welcome all to be an active part of our congregation.

Come visit us and begin to discern if God is calling you here.
