The First Presbyterian Home Goods Community Pantry is open on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Items offered to the community will include the following household essentials: Paper towels (2-pack), toilet paper (4-pack), tissues (small pack), trash bags (10-count), dish soap (one bottle), laundry detergent, and disinfectant wipes.

We are currently accepting donations for our pantry, specifically for the items listed above. Cash donations are also welcomed. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Please mark your calendars and come to our weekly Bible discussion class every Tuesday at 10:00am in the library. Pastor Jeff will lead the study. Expect coffee and refreshments!

We are calling all members, visitors, and friends of First Presbyterian Church to a time of prayer for our congregation as we discern the future of First Presbyterian. This will include
the provision of prayer guides and a series of events focused on God's call to us as First Presbyterian Church in this modern world.

The following announcement is from Mary McCoy, the volunteer coordinator for the Staunton Cooling Shelter:

Faith Lutheran Church in Staunton is organizing a cooling shelter beginning
on June 29th for Waynesboro, Augusta County, and Staunton residents who are unhoused or lack working AC. They are providing a cool, air-conditioned space for visitors to seek shelter in during the hottest part of the summer.

They are seeking volunteers in the Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro area to fill volunteer slots at the cooling shelter.

If anyone at First Presbyterian Church is interested in volunteering, they would love to have them! (Volunteers must be at least 18 years old).

Session has approved a Capital Campaign to begin July 1 and conclude Labor Day weekend. We ask that you prayerfully consider a contribution toward restoring the  sanctuary doors. The work is to be completed by the second week in August. Gifts can be made by check to First Presbyterian Church, with “Sanctuary Door Campaign” written in the memo section. Thank you!

Please join us for food & fellowship! The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Presbyterian Annual Church Picnic & Covered Dish will take place Thursday, July 9 at 6pm at the Gypsy Hill Park Pavilion. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Fried chicken, drinks, and paper goods will be provided. Tables & chairs will be available.

Directions: Enter through the Thornrose entrance; go past the lake, tennis courts, & armory; the pavilion will be on the right near the golf course. Additional directions to Gypsy Hill Park Pavilion: Enter the park off of Thornrose Avenue at 116th Regimental Road. Drive by Lake Tams, the tennis courts and the armory. The pavilion will be on the right, near the golf course.
