Rev. Dr. Jeff Binder

Pastor Jeff joined First Presbyterian as our Interim Minister on July 1, 2023. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff has served congregations all over the country, including in Oregon and Florida. Most recently, he completed an interim position in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He has degrees from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio (B.A.), McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois (M.Div.), and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas (D.Min.). He has completed the PC(USA) interim training and also many other educational opportunities, including training at Princeton University, the Iona Community in Scotland, Israel & Palestine, Ghana, South Africa, Guatemala, and at the Taizé Monastery in France.

Rev. Binder enjoys running and hiking, and has a special interest in the intersection of spirituality, church transition, and the outdoors. He is an experienced choir singer with a bass voice, and a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio St. Buckeyes.
