Renee Huff

Reneé Janette Sokol Huff is a multi-talented artist whose work spans a wide range of musical and performing arts disciplines. As a mezzo soprano with a doctorate in Vocal Performance, her voice comfortably navigates between genres, making her a versatile performer known for her sultry tones and dramatic range. Her experience in music and performing arts education is extensive, having served in various capacities at colleges in Virginia and North Carolina, where she has not only taught but also developed innovative programs.

 

Beyond her educational contributions, Reneé’s leadership skills shine through in her roles as a Choir and Artistic Director, where she has directed plays, workshops, and festivals, and served as a judge for numerous competitions. Her commitment to community is evident in her ongoing role with the 1st Presbyterian Church of Staunton, VA, and her involvement with Gathering Grove Productions, a theatre company focused on human rights.

 

Reneé is also deeply engaged in creative projects, including original roles in new musical works and contributions as a singer/songwriter. Her performances in operatic roles and as a soloist in major works have been critically acclaimed, showcasing her as a dynamic and impactful figure in the arts. Alongside her husband, Anthony, she explores her faith through music, further highlighting her diverse talents and passion for connecting with audiences on various levels.
